Laser Therapy

Laser therapy is a drug-free, surgery-free and non-invasive method to help reduce pain, inflammation and quicken healing time for your pet.

Using the K-Laser Therapy we are able to use a beam of light to penetrate tissue without causing damage. This in turn causes "photo-bio-modulation" in the cells, which is what leads to a reduction of pain and inflammation.

Laser therapy has been proven scientifically to be helpful in treating post-surgical pain and many chronic and acute conditions, such as:
  • Wound and Post-Surgical Pain and Healing
  • Cystitis
  • Hip Dysplasia
  • Degenerative Disc Disease
  • Degenerative Joint Disease
  • Gingivitis
  • Hot Spots and Other Skin Infections
  • Cuts and Bites
  • Sprains, Strains and Fractures
  • Inflammatory Bowel Disease
  • Acute and Chronic Otitis
  • Lick Granulomas
  • Arthritis
  • And Much More…

Dental Care

"Dog breath" should not mean bad breath. The bacteria in your dog or cats mouth can lead to plaque and tarter buildup, resulting in gingivitis, discomfort while chewing and loose or missing teeth. Let Manatee Veterinary Clinic examine your pet's teeth and gums to help determine if there are any dental issues that need to be addressed. We will also be able to provide you with proper care instructions for at-home dental care.

Dental hygiene is an important part of your pet’s health, because dental disease can be associated with other serious health problems such as heart disease and kidney disease.

How do you know if your pet has a healthy mouth? Let us examine your pet’s teeth and gums to help determine if there are any dental issues you should know about. After a brief visual examination, we may recommend a more detailed oral health examination (which requires sedation), a dental cleaning, or options for at-home dental care.

Radiology Services

Our state of the art radiology services allow us to look inside the body and reveal information that may not be discernible from the outside. We are able to examine almost all internal organs and bones.

Using a low dose of radiation, Radiography is a non-invasive, painless and safe way to evaluate bone size, shape and position of the body's organs. Radiography can also be used to diagnose certain spinal cord diseases, chronic arthritis, broken bones, bladder stones and many other conditions.

Some of the top treated areas are:
  • Heart
  • Lungs
  • Liver
  • Spleen
  • Bladder
  • Prostate
  • Spinal Column
  • Hips
  • and Much More

Tonometry Includes

At Manatee Veterinary Clinic we can test your dog or cat's eyes for excess pressure with a tonometer. This is not painful for your pet and does not require sedation.

If left untreated (within hours to days) glaucoma can cause permanent vision loss or even blindness.  Breeds likely to develop glaucoma should come in for regular measurements so we can monitor eye pressure and begin treatment immediately to prevent any further or permanent damage.

Call us right away if you notice any of the following problems in either or both of your pet’s eyes:
  • Enlarged pupils
  • Clouding
  • Asymmetrical appearance
  • Squinting
  • Tearing
  • Rubbing paws at eyes
  • Rubbing eyes against floor, furniture, or other surfaces
